Steel Coil Supplier
Steel coil is made from a finished steel product such as sheet or strip that has been wound or coiled after rolling; its width is much greater than the thickness. Depending on the production method, steel coil can be classified as Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, or Galvanized.
Chesterfield Steel is dedicated to helping you find the best solution for your application. Whether you need ¼ tolerance, 100% on-time deliveries, exceptional quality with zero claims, or a custom solution, we will meet the challenge. At Chesterfield, we strive to become a valued partner, not just a vendor. Let us help you find a tailored solution for your application today!

Industries & Applications
Steel coil is a versatile product that can be used in a range of industries and applications. Common sectors that use steel coil include:
- Construction
- Automotive
- Heavy Machinery
Types & Grades of Steel Coil
Hot Rolled Coil
Hot Rolled coil is produced from semi-finished products that are reduced to certain thicknesses by rolling and annealing and winding into a roll.
Cold Rolled Coil
Cold Rolled coil is produced from hot-rolled steel that is further processed to produce a more highly finished product. Cold Rolled coil has a smoother surface, greater dimensional accuracy, and greater strength than Hot Rolled coil.
Galvanized Coil
Galvanized coil has a special zinc coating that has been added to protect the underlying steel from atmospheric exposure. The zinc coating can be applied at specified thicknesses depending on the application and conditions in which it will be used. Galvanized coil is common in the construction, automotive, and solar industries and is one of our most popular steel coil products at Chesterfield Steel.
